In September 2025, Diaz-Murphy & Associates (DMA) partnered with OHLA USA, Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of the global infrastructure group OHLA, to support two major Florida Turnpike projects. Strengthening Florida’s Turnpike Infrastructure
DMA’s collaboration with OHLA USA focuses exclusively on two Florida Turnpike initiatives commissioned by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). These projects aim to enhance roadway capacity, improve traffic flow, and strengthen transportation safety across South Florida.
The first project involves a $100.6 million contract to widen the Turnpike Mainline (SR 91) from the Sawgrass Expressway to Glades Road in Broward and Palm Beach Counties. DMA supports OHLA USA by conducting comprehensive field and laboratory testing to verify the quality of materials used in asphalt paving, drainage, guardrails, signage, and other roadway components.
The second project supports additional Turnpike infrastructure improvements focused on modernization, operational efficiency, and long-term resilience. DMA’s role includes rigorous QA/QC and CMT services to validate compliance with FDOT performance specifications, ensuring that construction materials meet all safety and durability standards.
